Betty J. Jackson of Kalamazoo Betty passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 2, 2011 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born September 3, 1927 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Harry and Lucy Adams Allen. On July 19, 1950, Betty was united in marriage to Gilbert Jackson in LaGrange, IN. She enjoyed making ceramics, working in her garden, and doing needlepoint. Betty had a love for animals, especially dogs and birds. She and Gil also enjoyed traveling to Sparta and Raleigh, NC.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Gil Jackson; 3 nieces, Kathy Gerow of Kalamazoo, Tammy Claude Otten of Paw Paw, and Kellie O’Neill of Sheboygan, WI; and 1 nephew, Kevin O’Neill of Kankakee, IL. Preceding her in death were her two children, Sharon Isaac and Rodney Jackson; two brothers, Donald and Robert Allen and two sisters, Donna Needham and Dorothy Lantis.
