Betty Irene Towne, 85, of Anderson, passed away on March 2, 2015 at the Saint Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital Anderson, IN.
She was born on October 30, 1929 in Anderson, Indiana and resided most of her life in Anderson. Betty graduated from Anderson High School and Indiana Business College. She retired in 1988 from the State of Indiana after 30 years of service. She was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash in 1988. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and spending winters in Florida at the beach and playing golf.
Betty is survived by her loving spouse whom she married September 30, 1951, Jack G. Towne of Anderson, IN, son, Larry G. (Lynn) Towne of Pendleton, IN, grandchildren, Trent (Katrina) Towne and Stacy Towne, great-grandchildren, Molly and Peyton Towne.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Jacque Jones, brother, Leroy Yates, mother, Iva Yates, and father, Roy Yates.
