Betty Brubaker, 91 formerly of Merritt Island/Viera passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2020. Betty was born in 1929 to Vollie and Erma Housman in rural Miami, OK. She was the fourth of five children (Jehu, Wanda, Gerald, Betty and Mary) and a member of the Ottawa Tribe of Oklahoma. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1947 and married her first husband, Ronald Dry in 1949.
She is survived by her husband, her daughter Pamela Dry of Ponte Vedra Beach and son Durwood Dry (Ronda) of Ocala. Stepchildren include Carole (Ken) Van Holbeck, John (Cindylu) Brubaker, Joseph D. Brubaker III, David (Dawn) Brubaker and Joanne (David) Batchelor. Her sister Mary (Wayne) Draper will surely miss her. She will also be missed by her 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
