Betty Caygill, 87, of Berryville, AR. passed away Wednesday September 9, 2009 at Brighton Ridge in Eureka Springs, AR. She was born February 23, 1922 in Oakland, California to the late Elmer Lewis and Ethel “Pickles” Lewis. Betty lived in California until she moved to Carroll County about 21 years ago. She had been employed as a clerk for office supply stores in her younger years. After moving to Berryville she worked at Tysons and also at the Honey and Spice Store as a clerk. She was a member of Southern Heights Baptist Church in Berryville and at times would attend Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church with her family. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing and she loved making things for her grandchildren. She was very devoted to her faith and family. She is survived by her son Chris Caygill and wife Rita, of Oak Grove, son David Caygill and wife Vici, of Vacaville, CA., grandchildren, Samantha and Megan Caygill, Chloe Anderson, Emma Coleman, Christina Vaught, Kelly Longabaugh, 3 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by ex- husband, Alex Caygill and four siblings.
