Betty Idell Moss departed this life on March 4, 2021, at age 83.
Betty was born on October 17, 1937, to the late Thomas and Beulah Beavers in Dooley Georgia. Growing up, Betty was donned “Ladybug” by her father, and her love of ladybugs followed her throughout her life. Betty was an avid collector and had an eye for sparkly trinkets and treasures, and there was always a spot open on her shelf for a new ceramic rooster. Betty was a graduate of Fulton County High School and retired as an accountant from Georgia Tech, where she worked for 30 years. After retirement, you could find Betty spending time with family, pruning her beautiful flowers, or enjoying the fellowship of friends in her community. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and terrific friend to so many.
Betty was preceded in death by the love of her life and late husband, John Edward Moss, and her brother, Wilburn Beavers. She is survived by her brother, Don Beavers, daughters, Carol Yarbrough and Ronda Smith, grandchildren, Chad Yarbrough, Brittany Thompson, Lauren Smith, Jonathan Yarbrough, Erin Schultz, and Morgan Smith, and 11 great-grandchildren that overflowed her life with joy.
