Betty H. Bundy Coovert, 89, former Muncie resident and more recently a resident of Alpine, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, February,16, 2011, in Punta Gorda, Florida.
She was born in Kansas, March 9, 1921, the daughter of Lawrence A. and Ina (Colcazier) Bundy. She grew up in Knightstown where she graduated from high school.
Mrs. Coovert was Chief Financial Officer of Coovert Heating and Air Conditioning from 1967 until her retirement in 1992.
She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Muncie, and Providence Assembly of God in Jamestown, TN.
Surviving are two sons, Donald Coovert, Punta Gorda, FL, and John Coovert, (wife, Lucy), Muncie, IN; two daughters, Linda Schulz, (husband, Jim), Anchorage, AK, and Diana Franklin, (husband, Jack), with whom she resided in Alpine, TN; her grandchildren, John B. Coovert, (wife, Wendie), Indianapolis, IN, James Coovert, (wife, Rebecca), New Palestine, IN, Christina Coovert, Westfield, IN, John Bradley Coovert, (wife, Jennifer), Noblesville, IN, Kimberly Lorentzen, (husband, Aaron), Sterling, AK, Stacia Harger, (husband, Kevin), Troy, MO, and Evan Wright, (wife, Rhoda), Alpine, TN; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Coovert, who died in 1991; three brothers and one sister.
