Betty Elene Barlow
Betty Elene Barlow, 79, of Kingwood, died Friday, January 15, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by her side.
She was born, June 24, 1936, in St. George, a daughter of the late Clay Roy and Fannie Alice Bohon Gower .
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Betty was a clerk for Murphy’s and Ames department stores. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, the Women’s Alter Society and taught Sunday School.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Paul Barlow, her son, Paul Barlow, Jr. and wife, Brenda of Kingwood; two daughters, Debbie Sims and husband, Randall of Proctor and Brenda Teets and husband, Eddie of Kingwood; two sisters, Patty Nestor and husband, Pete and Barbara Thomas and husband, Woody, all of Kingwood; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Gibson, her son in-law, Dean Gibson, her grandson, J R. Gibson, two brothers, Roy Gower and John (Don) Gower and her step-father Pete Jones.
