Betty Connor, 92, of Vandalia, died peacefully Thursday, September 27, 2012 in her residence in the presence of her family.
She was born October 31, 1919 in Horton, Kansas to Jesse and Anna (Rollins) Evans. She married Elmer Connor in 1940 in Evanston, Illinois.
He preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents; two sons, Elmer “Woody” Connor, and Mark Connor; six sisters, and one brother.Betty retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier.Betty will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Sally Jo Connor of Vandalia; and her sister, Dolores Stewart of Las Vegas, Nevada.
