Betty Carolyn Gailey, a long-time Florida resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, the 7th of May at 92 years of age. She was born on January 6, 1925 in Clarion, PA to Glenn and Bessie George.
Betty graduated from Clarion State Teachers College where she excelled in woman’s basketball. When her sons were in school, she was an active member of the PTA. She loved to host a party celebrating Cocoa’s annual Christmas boat parade.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur F. Gailey and her sister, Bonnie Kelly. She is survived by two sons, Robert Gailey and Steven Gailey, two daughters-in-law, Kathie Gailey and Judy Gailey, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her hearty laugh and care for family and friends will be missed by those who knew and love her.
