Betty “Boots” E. Weathers of Youngsville, NC passed away at the age of 96 on May 6, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Lucius R. Evans and Claudia Evans. Betty was predeceased by her husband J.W. Weathers, Jr. and her brother, Lucius R. Evans, Jr. She is survived by her sisters Benjie E. Steed, Lee E. Tate (Jim), numerous nieces and nephews, and “children” Mitzie T. Barnette (Russ), Ricky Tharrington (Hope) and Gary Tharrington (Dorothy).
Betty was a graduate of Mars Hill College and Queens College.
