Betty April (Senger) Scoville, 67, of New Hartford, wife of William (Bill) R. Scoville, died on September 1, 2021 after a two-year struggle with cancer. Betty was born on July 8, 1954 to Robert I. Senger and Betty May (Arthur) Senger and grew up in Simsbury, graduating from Simsbury High School where she met Bill in their freshman year. They were named Class Couple (1972) and married in 1975.Betty received her degree in Medical Technology from Westbrook College in Portland, Maine with the hope of establishing a career in veterinary science as she always loved animals. She started as a veterinary assistant but was persuaded into becoming office manager and using her skills on the administrative side of operations. After a brief period in Florida, Betty and Bill moved back to the Simsbury area in 1978 where she worked for Warner Nursery & Landscaping, the Robert E. Nolan Company, and Compatible Computers, eventually starting her own business, Digital Accounting Solutions, in 1985. She introduced many local businesses and organizations to accounting and data base programs for use in their operations and provided support for some for many years.Betty was a lover of animals and besides the many varieties she cherished as pets in her household, she became a CT licensed wildlife rehabilitator for many years. She took many hours of education to further her knowledge and understanding of the wildlife environment. A special thanks goes to Linda Bowen of Falls Village, CT for being such a wonderful mentor and addition to her husband Bill, her cherished parrot Quibbles, and her dog Travis, Betty leaves her brother Don and wife Lisa of Dover, MA; brother Jim and wife Linda of Meridian, ID; and brother Bob and wife Ruth of Simsbury, CT, along with many cousins, nephews and nieces spread across the country.
