She was preceded in death by her siblings, Frances Rigley, Mary Boyer, Kay Smith, Jack and Joseph Smith. Betty was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Agnes and James Smith. She attended a vocational school and was employed with Sears for 22 years. She was a member of the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge.
