Betty Ann (Lauritsen) Helmedach, 84, of Middletown, wife of the late Franklin P. Helmedach for fifty-five years, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Chestelm Health & Rehabilitation Center in Moodus. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (Mortinsen) Lauritsen. Betty Ann was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and sister. She was a very giving person who would like everyone to perform an act of kindness in her memory. Betty Ann is survived by two sons, Steven Helmedach and his wife, Lora of Moodus and Kenneth Helmedach and his wife, Lori of Middlefield and their children; a daughter, Lisa Marenna and her partner, Bill Yeomans of Middlefield and her daughter, Jamie Marenna; a sister, Barbara Brainard of Sarasota, FL and a niece, Diane Fillion of Middletown.
