Bettie M. Keyes a resident of Green Forest, AR was born May 7, 1931 in Hopewell, West Virginia daughter of Richard Marsdon Arnold and Virginia (Daniel) Arnold. She departed this life on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the age of 81. Bettie moved to Carroll County in the 1960s. She was a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter day Saints in Berryville. She was passionate about helping others. Bettie knitted socks and made lap robes for the VA organization. She will best be remembered for her delicious, homemade pecan pies that were sold for other charities. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting, doing ceramics and spending time with her family. Preceding her in death were her parents Richard Marsdon Arnold and Virginia Arnold. Survivors include her son, Rick Keyes and wife Margie of West Fork, AR, daughter, Carole Coley and husband Dan of Green Forest, 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and one sister Barbara Jean Arnold.
