Beth Chandler Worsham Reid, 83, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Saturday.

She was the daughter of a farmer and a homemaker. The big sister to a spitfire that kept her in line. She worked in the fields, milked the cows, and made her own school clothes. She was a Hazel Green Greenie from kindergarten to graduation. She enjoyed game nights with the Salty Bottom Gang, traveling to wherever she could, and Friday mornings at the beauty salon with her girl friends. She loved line dancing, square dancing, and making the best sourdough bread you could find. She loved God, her family, and veterans too. She never failed to say “thank you” to any man or woman who fought for our freedom. She spent her Saturday’s in houndstooth, cheering for the boys wearing crimson and never missed a Brave’s baseball game. She was a fierce soul with a heart of gold and never lacked to throw in a little sass. She was loved by many and her memory will stay with those who loved her forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Reid;  Her parents: Robert “Bubba” & Carelean Chandler;  Her infant brother, Jerry Chandler. Her nephew, Frankie Lee Cross.

Surviving family members include her daughter, Pam Worsham Koehler; Her son and daughter-in-law, Mike & Roxie Worsham; Her granddaughters:  Sarah Danielle “Dani” Worsham Price, Elizabeth Catherine Koehler, and Kristen Nicole “Niki” Worsham Marvin;  Her great-grandchildren: Deacon Alexander Marvin,  Ember Layton Price, and Dawson William Marvin; Her sister, Judy Chandler Cross.
