Maude Elizabeth “BETH” Rigdon Fletcher, known to her family and friends as Beth, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of November 21, 2020.
Beth was born January 30, 1940 in Douglas, GA. Her parents were James Edward (J.E.) and Irene Easter Rigdon
Beth attended school in Coffee County and graduated from Coffee County High where she was a very active participant and was the lead majorette of the band.
Beth then went on to attend Georgia Southern College in Statesboro, GA, where she majored in Music and minored in Physical Education. She graduated from GA Southern with honors.
During her active career as a teacher, Beth enjoyed working with young people, teaching them to love music as much as she did.
Beth loved life and was always ready for new adventure! She was full of fun and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Laura Lyn, her sister Betty Rigdon and her brother, Roger Rigdon.
She is survived by her sister Cindie Rigdon, her brother Jim Rigdon, her sons Jimmy (Melissa), Michael (Rae) and daughter Mary Beth (Skip), her grandchildren Caleb, Jillian, Amanda, Michaela, Delaney, Chase, Aiden and Seth as well as great grandchildren Dakota, Kloee and Lillian.
Beth’s memory will always be cherished by her family and a wide host of friends.
