Mrs. Naomi Brown, 86, died Monday, April 2, 2007, at her home in Hobbs. She was born Oct. 15, 1920 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She married John R. Brown on May 30, 1938 in Pauls Valley.
She was a woman of great strength. Anyone who knew her knew this about her. She always focused on the more positive things in life and letting God be in conshy;trol. She was a longtime Hobbs bus driver and also past presishy;dent of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John R. Brown, who died Oct. 23, 2005, and three of her chilshy;dren, Jerry Brown, Becky Henry and Peggy Brown.
Survivors include a son, Johnny R. Brown of Hobbs, N.M.; a granddaughter, Leilani Sundquist of Clovis, N.M.; and six great-grandchildren.
