Bessie Marie Hall Marshall passed away June 10, 2015 at Karcher Estates, Nampa, Idaho. She was born October 15, 1921 near Pullman, Washington to the late Ralph M. and Bessie Mae (Collins) Hall. They soon moved to New Plymouth, Idaho where her father farmed and she started school. The Great Depression moved her family to Eagle, Idaho where her father was hired as the supervisor of prison trustees on the Prison Farm on Eagle Island where she and her family lived until she completed grade school and high school in Eagle. She then lived for a short time at Boulder Creek, Idaho before marrying Harold Marshall and moving to Rio Tinto, Nevada where he was a miner.

Before the birth of their first child, she and Harold returned to Eagle, Idaho where they farmed until his death in 1995. While living and farming in Eagle, five children were born and raised.

Bessie was very talented and could do anything to which she put her mind. One area in which she excelled was cooking.

Her children’s friends, her nieces and nephews loved to hang out at her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Wayne, Wade, Jack and Glenn Hall; one son-in-law, Jeffrey Paul; one granddaughter, Barbara Porritt; and one great-grandson, Colton Hanson.

She is survived by her sons, Jim (Annie) and Bruce (Linda) Marshall and daughters, Glenda Marshall, Susan (Stan) Watts, and Coleen (Kent) Scifres. Her surviving grandchildren are Stephanie (Jay), Cinda (Rick), Jim Jr., Doug (Ana), Sue (Ralph), Ammon (Kim), Mandie (Dave), Ren (Jenna), Robin (Dale), Janeese, Tina (Mario), Patrick, SueAnn (Mike), John (Amy), Jeffrey (Jodi), Tina (Terry), Tracy (Jennifer), Jana (Doran), Stanley (Samantha), Kaylyn (Steve), Norman (Jen), Emilee (Pat), Melissa (Josh), Spencer, Bryce (Hannah), Allison (Rick), Aaron (Lisa), David, and Alex. She is also survived by 53 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Margaret Hall, Shirley Ross Blake, Maureen Lamm, Genevieve Givens LaBass, and Mary Shelby Bell as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She left a great legacy of love, family, and friends. Special recognition to her friends from Eagle, Meridian, Quartzsite, Karcher Estates and her wonderful Heart ‘n Home Hospice team.
