Bessie Mae (Lambright) Williford, 81 of Decatur, Alabama, formerly from Belton, Texas.
Mrs. Williford died Tuesday, January 3rd at Decatur General Hospital. She was born March 6th, 1935 to Ollie and Mildred (Turner) Lambright. She married Felix Williford July 31st 1952. “Bessie” as everyone remembers her, worked at Belton Drive In grocery on South Main Street for over 20 years. She did not know a stranger, she knew and spoke to almost everyone in town. Known for her conversation, kindness and love for all, she will be dearly missed.
Bessie was preceded in death by her husband Felix Williford and her parents along with 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Survivor’s include a daughter Deborah (Williford) McKay Smith and husband David of Decatur, Alabama. Three Sons, Hubert Williford and wife Rita of Danville Illinois, Ray Williford and wife Cathy, Larry Williford and wife Jeannie, both from Temple, Texas. Brothers, Ollie Lambright Jr. and Odis Lambright both of Seadrift, Texas. Sisters, Mary R. (Lambright) Hughes of Victoria, Texas and Joanna (Lambright) West of Teague, Texas. Five grandchildren Joey and Allen Mckay, Christopher, Ashley and Brandon Williford and three great-grandchildren Briley and Andee Brooke Mckay and Kylee Williford and many nieces and nephews.
