Bessie E. Waddy, 96, of Allentown passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Albert Welsh and the late Allen Waddy. Born in Oxford on July 7, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John R. Sr. and Arbeal (Watson) Myers. She was a self-employed Beautician for many years before retiring and had worked a Strawbridge & Clothier in Philadelphia.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Bethlehem.
Bessie enjoyed crocheting and was part of a crochet club that gathered on Wednesday and Fridays. She loved baking and coordinated bus trips for church. Everyone called her Aunt Bessie. Surviving: Bessie is survived by her loving sisters, Constance Brown of Fountain Hill and Mary Robinson of Bethlehem; Host of Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Evelyn Martin, Dorothy Malone, Evetta Coles, John Jr., Margaret Hargrove.
