Beryle Marie Bernet Heyard, 90, of North Canton, died at 1:02 p.m. Tuesday at the Akron General Hospital. Born April 22, 1923, in Lodi, she was the daughter of the late Charles Richardson and Anna Mae (Watkins) Gaus. Mrs. Heyard worked in several industries, including jobs in ammunitions during World War II. She has worked in hospitality industry, quality control and personnel agency. The last part of her working career was as a full-time real estate agent and working full-time in the furniture sales at Sears. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank P. Bernet. Survivors include a son, Lawrence (Peggy) Bernet of The Colony, Texas; a daughter, Candace (Jeff) Steigelman of Columbus; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
