NORTHFORD – Bertrand Williams, 95, departed this life on February 23, 2016 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Wanda (Trow) Williams. Bert was born in New Haven on February 8, 1921, the son of the late Bert L. and Elizabeth (Hulsman) Williams.
Bert served in the US Army during WWII as a paratrooper and was stationed in France. Upon his return home, Bert worked as a carpenter for Tom Williams Construction for many years before working for the Williams Painting Company until his retirement in his mid-seventies.
His love at home was tending to his vegetable garden and mowing his lawn. He enjoyed time with his family camping, hiking and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Bert was a long time active member of St.
