Bertrand C. Rompre, 83, of Bristol, beloved husband of Theresa (Majewski) Rompre, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at Bristol Hospital. He was born November 17, 1926 in Bristol, son of the late Charles and Bertha (Bertrand) Rompre. A lifelong resident of Bristol, he had served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Bertrand was employed at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Southington for many years until his retirement in 1989. He was also the owner of Rompre Photography in Bristol, providing many photographs for the Bristol Press. After his retirement, he played a very active role in the family businesses in Farmington.
