Bertram Stanley Walls, age 97, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2009 with family by his side. Born in Rochester, New York December 8, 1911 to James Harry & Anna Crelly Walls, he was one of eight children. He was a graduate of Springfield College, Class of 1941. He received the Bronze Star while serving in the Army in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater during World War II. He taught school in upstate New York before opening and operating for 30 years the Vet Dinette Catering and Vending Machine Company. He was a member of St. John’s Lodge #8, Lafayette Consistory, served as President of the Pyramid Shriners Motor Patrol in 1968, Potentate of the Pyramid Temple in 1976 and Director of the Royal Order of Jesters.
