Bertha L. (Johnson) Stidd, 87 of Bloomington, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Garden Villa Nursing Home. Bertha was born June 3, 1927 in Bloomington and was the daughter of the late Harley and Pauline (Baxter) Johnson.
She was a graduate of Bloomington High School and worked at Crane during the war, then RCA and spent most of her life as a housewife, mom and grandma. She was a member of Northside Christian Church, was a 25+ year member of the Bloomington Hospital Auxiliary where she helped make numerous pink dogs given out to sick children.
She was also a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed taking care of her grandkids. Bertha is survived by her two daughters and their husbands; Patsy Jo Kinnaman (Jim) and Becky Lou Barrow (Dave) both of Bloomington, three grandchildren; Kyle Kinnaman (Aubrey) of Woodstock, GA, Kurt Kinnaman and Brooke Fleener (Sam) all of Bloomington. Also surviving are three great grandchildren; Claire Elizabeth Kinnaman, Charlotte Elise Kinnaman, and Raelynn Alison Fleener.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years Robert L. Stidd in 2011, two sisters, Eunice Alice Henderson, and Ellen Helms, and brother Wilburn Johnson.
