DURHAM-Mrs. Bertha “Marie” Huddleston known by her family and friends as Grannie “M”, 67, of 521 Snow Hill Rd. died on Monday, August 29, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of Durham and was the daughter of the late Walter Fulton Haney and Bertha Jackson Haney. She retired from Weck Inc. Mrs. Huddleston was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Ray Huddleston. She is survived by one son; Lester “Ray” Hayes Jr. (Wife) Lavonda of Timberlake; one daughter; Janet Marie Pridgen (Husband) Dennis of Oxford; two sisters; Tom Butler of Raleigh and Mary Jane Austin of Greensboro; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
