Bertha Mae Morrissette, of the barlow Bend Community, transitioned from this life on Sunday, August 10, 2014 while at her residence. She was born to the late Jack and Parlie Peoples and was a member of the Union Baptist Church of Barlow Bend, where she sang in the choir, served as a Deaconess, and as Missionary President. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Gertrude Jordan, Azie B. Williams and Parlie Jackson; two brothers, Leo Peoples and richard Peoples.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband, Robert L. Morrissette, Barlow Bend, AL; a son, Earnest (Sharlene) Davis, Grove Hill, AL; three daughters, Kathleen (Evon) James, Choctaw Bluff, AL, Rutha ( Frank ) Phillips, Camden, AL and Sharlot (Samuel) Perine, Pflugerville, TX; four brothers, John (Mary) Peoples, Alex Peoples, Robert Peoples and Elijah Peoples all pof Mobile, AL; a sister, Essie James, Mobile, AL; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many other relatives and .
