Polk City – Bertha Gay Moore Ray, 85, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, September 30, 2013, as a result of natural causes. Mrs. Ray was born March 22, 1928 in Roanoke, VA. She and her family moved to Bartow in 1951. Mrs.
Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, Carlos Ralph Ray, Sr. and her loving daughter, Carla Ray Lively. She is survived by her daughters, Carlane Ray (Larry) Knies and Susan Ray (Charles) Norton; son, Ralph (Debbie) Ray, Jr.; sisters, Mary Gates, Debie Hicks and Cathy Watson; brother, Don Moore; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
