Bertha E. Reynolds, 93, of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Bertha was born to the late Charles and Anna Mae Kladden in December 1924 in Indianapolis.
Bertha worked in the Matrix department at RCA for 43 years, retiring in 1986. In 1990, she received her certification in home health care. In her down time, Bertha had a knack for making ceramics. She was well known for making quilts, yo-yo’s, dolls, and oil paintings. She loved to collect different types of rocks. Her favorite flowers were iris’. Bertha loved spending time with her family, raising her eight children. She enjoyed cooking for and attending large family gatherings whether it was for the holidays or just a get together. Bertha was a member of the Apostolic Gospel Church in Franklin for 45 years.
Bertha is survived by her eight children; Veada Hewitt of Indianapolis, Valerie (William) Springer of Delaware, Kent (Dora) Irvin of Franklin, Vickie Reynolds of Columbus, Keith Irvin of Southport, David (Teresa) Reynolds of Franklin, Duane Reynolds of Avon, and Dana Roverson of North Vernon; a sister, Mary Helen Mize of Fairland; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Reynolds; brothers, Charles, Frank, and Walter Kladden; sisters, Anna Mae Winninger and Margaret Wells.
