Bernie Koziel of DeWitt, Michigan and formerly of Galien, Michigan passed away Thursday, May 15, 2008 in DeWitt at the age of 63.Bernie was born August 2, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to Sigmund and Angeline (Buczyna) Koziel. He served his country in the US Air Force.
Bernie attended Michigan State University and retired from IBM. He was a Master Gardener and had a special fondness in his heart for all creatures great and small.Survivors include his wife, Kathy Daly-Koziel; sisters, Victoria Parrett, Mickie (Lawrence) Smith, and Patty (LaMont) Hemphill; brothers, John (Thelma) Koziel, Richard (Regina) Koziel, and Joe (Sue) Koziel; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Annette Lashua.The family will receive friends on Monday, May 19, 2008 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home, 205 East Washington, DeWitt, Michigan were a Scripture Service will be held at 4:30 pm on Monday.
