Bernie Gordon Coleman, 81, of Anderson, passed away on May 3, 2017 at Community Hospital, Anderson.
He was born on September 23, 1935 in Terre Haute, and resided most of his life in Anderson. He retired from Koorsen Fire Protection after 26 years of service. He was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church, and he enjoyed camping, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Bernie is survived by his loving children, Ronald (Sharon) Coleman, Laura (Richard) Garringer, grandchildren, Heather (Tom) Edwards, Autumn (Bob) Wells, Joshua Coleman, Justin (April) Garringer, Abbi (Will) Richardson, Ashley Coleman, Christopher (Brittany) Coleman, Matthew (Tresha) Coleman, 17 great-grandchildren, and special friend, Donna Owens.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Dee Coleman, mother, Marie Maxine Coleman, father, Maurice Coleman, brothers, Maurice Coleman, Maurice Coleman, grandchildren, Chad, Nathan, Cory, and great-grandchild, Aiden Matthew.
