Mrs. Bernice Wilson McCall, 89, of 1118 Grace Street, died on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Bernice was born on April 10, 1924 to Foster Brown and Lula Wilson in Marlboro County, South Carolina and spent most of her adult life in High Point. She was a faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Kitchen Committee, Senior Choir, Missionary Ministry, and Gospel Chorus. She was formerly employed as a machine operator with Guilford Veneer.
Mrs. McCall was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles S. McCall, one daughter, Jannie W. Streeter, four brothers, and three sisters.
Surviving relatives include four sons, Johnny McCall of High Point, Cleveland (Kaila) McCall of Archdale, Ronnie (Jennie) McCall of Newport News, VA, Thurmond McCall of Largo, MD; two daughters, Delia Harrington of High Point, and Betty J. Livingston of Hamlet, NC; brother, Jimmie Wilson of High Point; aunts, Shadie Mae Mobley, and Martha Johnson both of High Point; forty-six grandchildren; thirty-eight great children; seven great great grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
