Anderson � Bernice May Modlin, 81, Anderson, died July 31, 2010 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born August 21, 1928 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided here all of her life. She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1979. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and Southdale Nazarene Church, both in Anderson. She was also a member of the UAW #662.
She is survived by her daughters; Peggy Gillespie and Nancy Larry Peters, both of Anderson.Three brothers; Myron Fran Folsom , Alvin Alice Folsom, and Calvin Loretta Folsom, all of Anderson.A sister; Donna Hodson of Florida and a brother in law; Orville Wood of Anderson.Two grandchildren; Greg Branch and Milinda Lee Slusser and her step-grandchildren; Billy Peters, Joe Peters, and John Peters.Her great-grandchildren; Zach Branch Kaylee Branch, Cami Brown, Eliza Graham, Branden Graham, Lexy Peters, Blake Peters, and Dylan Brown. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and many special neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Modlin Jr.Her parents, Marcus and Lyda Hon Folsom.Her sisters, Twila Jean Folsom, Lula Jane Folsom, and Vera Wood.Her brothers, Donald Folsom, Joseph Folsom, and Norman Folsom, and her grandson, Larry Brown Jr. The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to St. John�s Hospice and caregivers Julia, Dee Dee, and Cindy.
