Bernice was born March 27, 1926 to Edward and Bertha (Suhr) Bertschinger north of Creighton. Bernice attended school at Bazile Mills, Cemma, Clay Center and graduated from Creighton High School in 1945. She was baptize at Christ Lutheran Church in Bazile Mills and confirmed at Zion Lutheran in Creighton and currently a member at Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
Bernice is survived by her daughter Sandra and husband Larry Beltz of Norfolk, grandsons, Brian (Lisa) Beltz, Jay (Heidi) Beltz, seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren three step sons, Robert (Judy) Meredith, John Meredith, and Dan (Annette) Meredith, seven step grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren,.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, Kenneth hack, and Elwood Meredith, son Alfred Kenneth Haack, brother Alfred Bertschinger, one great grandchild, two step grandchildren, and 1 step grandchild.
