Bernice Marie Johnson 85 of Little Rock, AR. passed away Sunday February 25th 2018. Born November 20, 1932 to her parents Maud Belle Matkin and Archie Brown Sr. in Warren, AR. Bernice was the 2nd oldest of 5 children. Mrs. Bernice Johnson was a Master Gardener and a life time member of the National Herb Society of Pulaski County. She was known as the “Herb” was a past board member of the (WNA), and she made several of her own cookbooks from her personal recipes that she shared with family and close friends. Everyone that knew her, knew her fantastic cooking. She loved to share it and you always wanted seconds.
She spend her days tending her personal “Herb” garden.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years James Tommy Johnson, 3 sisters and 1 brother and daughter Cynthia Lynn McCarty Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by 2 sons James Clark Johnson and Ronald Paul Johnson, daughter in law Scherrie Johnson and grandchildren Daniel Johnson, Keely Johnson, Hannah Harrison, Carrie Ridgeway, Mikki Garalde and Tracee Morrow 4 great grandchildren Zack and Samantha Boyette and Nicholas and Lauren Morrow. She will be greatly missed.
