Bernice Mae Jones Walker, age 89, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at Southland Hospice in Peachtree City. She was born May 1, 1925 in Coweta County to the late John Robert Jones and Mattie Lou Jones.
Bernice was a retired nurse from Newnan Hospital with over 50 years of service. She was a life long member of Gordon Road Church of Christ.
Bernice is survived by her children Sandra Waddell of Warm Springs and Marcus “Foots” Walker of Newnan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and sisters Frances Carpenter of Sharpsburg and JoAnn Smith of Newnan and numerous nieces and nephews.
