Bernice Loren Halter was 92 years old at time of passing. She passed peacefully in her home in Aurora, Colorado with two daughters present on August 17, 2022. She was born in Evansville, IN on September 25, 1929. She graduated from Evansville High School in 1947 and attended Campbellsville College for one year. She was married 62 years to Donald Eugene Halter, also of Evansville, IN, and widowed for nine years.
Bernice is survived by her daughter-Karen (Stephen) Pennington of Parker, CO; daughter-in-law-Susan (Steven) McConnell of Aurora, CO; Daughter – Becky (Phil) Morris of Bremerton, WA; Daughter- Jenny (Andy) Karpenko of Monroe City, MO; daughter- Alice (Dan) White of Aurora, CO; daughter- Sharon Hurley of Aurora, CO; and Tom (Martha) Halter of Lewisville, TX; and sister-in-law- Marilyn Freyling of Evansville, IN. She was predeceased by husband- Donald Eugene Halter and son- Mark Halter. Additionally, she is survived by 19 grandchildren and 32 great- grandchildren.
