Sara Bernice Hambright James, 88 of Altoona passed away on August 24, 2020 at TLC Nursing Center Oneonta. Bernice was a member of First Baptist Church Oneonta. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Eula Hambright, her husband, Clyde E. James and her daughter, Debra Denise Ethridge Nester, brothers, Arby Hambright, Bill Hambright, F.D. Hambright, Hugh McCain, Edgar Hambright, sisters, Inez Edge, Eloise Lovell and Unetta Chambers. Survived by sons, Oscar H. Ethridge (Charlotte) Oakland, TN and Frank James (Helen) Oneonta, AL; grandchildren, Dax ethridge, (Stephanie), April Perry (Mike), Jay Merchant (Krista), Brian Merchant, Amanda James Haggerty (Patrick), Chip James (Jacky), Chase James along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
