Bernice Cannon, 85, formerly of Ottawa died on Sunday, April 28, at Legacy House Hospice in Ocala, Florida. Bernice was born in Will County to Alfred and Paula (Modery) Heisner.
She was employed for many years at Pepperidge Farm in Downers Grove. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa.
She is survived by one daughter Donna (Claudell) Johnson, of Gainsville, FL, 4 sons, Paul (Penny) Helenhouse, of Plainfield, Patrick (Nan) Helenhouse, of Humble, TX, Dennis (Nanette) Helenhouse, of Kodiak, Alaska, and James (Colleen) Helenhouse, of Glen Ellyn, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Helenhouse, Howard Cannon, and Valentine Polancic, a son, John Helenhouse, and two brothers, Jack and Oscar Heisner.
