Bernice Robertson Hayes, 94, of Anderson, passed away on February 7, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on August 15, 1918 in Lackey, Kentucky and resided most of her life in Anderson.
She was a homemaker, worked with RSVP and attended Keenagers at Grace Baptist Church. Bernice is survived by her daughters, Dr. Adrianna H. Francis of Richmond, KY, Carol Roscoe Moore of Waverly, OH, Norice Lorne Harris of Deming, NM and Garnett Chuck Huffman of Anderson; siblings, America Nichols of Estill, Ky, Gladys Boling of Lackey, KY, Reed Robertson of Waverly, OH, Boots Daniels of Waverly, OH, Yvonne Anderson of Waverly, OH, Joann Robert Knowles of Portsmouth, OH, Stan Robertson of Waverly, OH and Mary Lou Billy Joe VanHoose of Waverly, OH; grandchildren, Lance Christine Francis of Loveland, OH, Glenn Cheri Moore of Columbus, OH, Gregory Moore of Piketon, OH, William Holli Huffman of Anderson, Bradley Amy Huffman of Grove City, OH and Brent Huffman of Anderson; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Hayes; parents, Branch Robertson and Mae Reed Robertson; siblings, Denver Robertson, Martha Lee, Jan Robertson and infant sister, Lillian Robertson. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Tina Hanson and Gayle Hall for all their love and care.
