Bernice B. Shook, 91, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Magnolia Gardens Extended Care Community in Spencer.
She was born December 28, 1922 to the late Myrtie Goodman Barger and Sid Barger.
Bernice worked at Cannon Mills as a weaver and was of the Baptist denomination. She served as pianist and organist for three different churches and also gave piano lessons.
In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband Buford P. Shook and her brother Claude Barger.
Bernice is survived by her sons Larry B. Shook (Betsy) of Sarasota, FL and Johnny Shook (Lois) of Salisbury; one sister Maud Newton of Marshall; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a niece; and her family.
