Bernice Alma Harrington Archey, 81, Anderson, died March 5, 2012 at St. Johns Health System, in Anderson. She was born October 26, 1930 in Anderson, and was a lifelong resident. Bernice was a 1948 graduate of Anderson High School and a graduate of Indiana Business College. She worked at Delco Remy Division of General Motors, retiring in 1999, after almost 30 years of service. She was a member of Jehovah Witness South Congregation and U.A.W. Local #662.
Survivors include her children, Dr. Herbert M. Archey Nancy, Rodney Archey Sheri, Lorna Goins Terry & Robert Archey; sister, Nelda Jackson; sister-in-law, Mary Harrington; five grandchildren, Jason Archey, Rachel Silveira, Samantha Archey, Adrienne Ball & Nicholas Goins; two great grandchildren, C.J. Archey & Christiana Silveira; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank her caregiver, Edith Lycan, for all her love and support. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Archey, in 2003; parents, Ben & Alma Carter Harrington; and siblings, Bill Harrington, Calvin Harrington, Elzie Harrington, twins Harold & Allen Harrington, Haynes Harrington, Wanda Harrington, Imogene Mitchell & Lila Applewhite.
