She was born on February 27, 1926 in Metamora, IL to Herman J. and Gertrude (Eichhorn) Elbert. She married Eugene B. Fuchs on February 1, 1945 in Metamora, IL. He passed away on March 13, 1995.
Surviving are one son Darrell Fuchs of Princeville, IL; three daughters Janice (Kenneth) Avery of Hopewell, IL, Nancy (Edward) Baldwin of Toluca, IL, and Mary (Ronald) Bell of Eureka; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters Doris Forney and Joan (Wilbert) DeFord, Jr. both of Metamora; and two brothers Allen (Sara) Elbert of Sulligent, Alabama and Lynn Elbert of Metamora. She was preceded in death by one son Daniel, two sisters, and three brothers.
