Mr. Bernard G. McCord age 95, of Newnan passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007. He was born in Watertown, N.Y. on March 11, 1912 to Charles and Hattie McCord.
He is survived by his son, Charles McCord M.D. of Newnan; daughter, Reba Zahar of West Virginia; grandchildren Brooke McCord and Elle McCord. Mr. McCord was a retired insurance state agent for the Agricultural Insurance Co. based out of Watertown, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during WWII on Midway Island, and Camp Lejuene N.C.
