Bernard Edward “Ed” O’Donnell, 83, of Anderson, passed away on September 29, 2020 at his residence. He was born on January 22, 1937 in Anderson, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Ed graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1955 and St. Joseph’s College in 1959.
He was retired from the engineering department of Guide Lamp Division of General Motors.
Ed was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Ed is survived by his loving wife whom he married April 8, 1961, Patricia (Hannon) O’Donnell; children, Jim (Deb) O’Donnell of Dayton, OH, Mike (Kathy) O’Donnell of Lafayette, IN, Laura (David) Roggy of Indianapolis, IN, and Lisa (Jeff) Shu of Winston-Salem, NC; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Steve) Fulk, Lili O’Donnell, Caroline O’Donnell, Lauren O’Donnell, Claire Shu, Madeline Roggy, Evan O’Donnell, Erin Shu and Jake O’Donnell; and his lifelong friend Bill Riffe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa and Emmett O’Donnell and a sister, Janet.
