Bernard Dayton “Radio” Bennett, age 90, of Lost Creek passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018. He was born October 1, 1927 in Lewis County, WV; the son of the late Mayme Ann Bragg. He married Dora Jeanne Quinn on September 1944 who preceded him in death on April 16, 1998.
Radio retired as a welder by trade and spent many years rehabbing and flipping houses.
Bernard is survived by his four children; Bernard Dayton Bennett II, Rebecca Ann Vanhorn and husband Ray, Jeannie D. McCormick and husband Tom, Billy Bennett and wife Pam; and a daughter-in-law Kathy Bennett, all of Lost creek; nine grandchildren, Andrea Ross and husband Charlie, Billy Allen and wife Lisa Tiffany Blair and husband Luke, Zach McCormick and Michelle, Billy Bennett, Loni Smithson and husband Jeff, Gretchen Fragmin and husband Gary, Bruce Bennett and wife Barbara, and James Bennett and companion, Amy; and fourteen great grandchildren, Sidney, Josh, Emma, Austin, Tristin, Kaden, Claire, Jency, Dillon, Taylor, Haley, Kindel, Andy and Camden.
In addition to his parents, and wife he was preceded in death by, two children Barry Lee Bennett, and Bruce Lynn Bennett; two grandchildren, B.J. Bennett, and Jeremy Vanhorn; and one brother, Robert Stalnaker.
