Bernard “Benny” Haskamp, 73, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at his residence in Greensburg.Born, July 30, 1936 in Decatur County, he was the son of Edward and Louise (Meyer) Haskamp.Benny was retired from working at the telephone company for many years. He served in the United States Army from 1955-1957. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Eagles, and the American Legion in Greensburg.
He was married to Janice Miller on February 7, 1959 and she survives. Benny is survived by his wife, one son; Bernard Charles Haskamp, Jr., Greensburg, one daughter; Anita (Donnie) Campbell, Greensburg, one brother; Virgil (Bertha) Haskamp, Greensburg, one sister; Ruth (Charles) Wolter, Greensburg, and two grandsons; Mitch and Skyler Campbell both of Greensburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Louis Haskamp, and one sister; Luella Nobbe.There will be no public services.
