Bernard (Ben) R. Heilman, Jr., 72, passed away on October 2, 2014 as a result from a tragic automobile accident. Ben was born in Maumee, Ohio to Bernard and Ethel Heilman. He was retired from AT&T after 37 years’ service. He was the past President of Silver Lake Country Club and was an avid golfer. Ben enjoyed social events at Turkeyfoot Island Club and being a part of the Silver Lake Country Club and the Gyro Friendship Club. Ben always had a smile on his face and was a warm, gentle, loving and giving man. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.
Ben is survived by his wife, Bonnie Stegal; daughters Lichelle (Ren) Chirakos, Suzanne (Steve) Had, stepdaughter Maxiene Rush; 6 grandchildren, Bella and Mia Chirakos, Max and Lauren Had, and Jeff and Alex Belinsky; siblings Larry (Bev) Heilman, Tena (Ed) Golding, and Randy (Michelle) Heilman.
