Bernalee “Berna” S. Anderson, 84, of Spirit Lake passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019, at Accura Healthcare of Spirit Lake. Berna was born on March 17, 1934, in Denison, Iowa to Leigh and Sue (Haburm) Morrison.
She graduated from Carroll High School and attended the University of Iowa. She worked as a school Librarian for Hunt School in Sioux City. She was united in marriage to Richard Anderson on May 20, 1956, in Carroll, Iowa. Berna was a member of the United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake, Alpha Zi Delta sorority, and a long-time member of the IPERS Union. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, and wintering in Tucson, AZ with her husband. She is survived by her husband Richard Anderson of Spirit Lake; sons David B. Anderson of Redwing, MN, and Dr. Dennis R. Anderson of Marshfield, WI, and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
