“Bernie” Schlicht nee Blum passed into eternal life on October 20, 2014, in Littleton, Colorado. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, to a family of eleven children, her siblings included: Katherine, Margaret, Mary, Victoria Mielke, Rita, George, Charles, Benedict, Francis, and Joseph. Bernie married George Joseph Schlicht on July 13, 1946; she followed George’s career with Lockheed Martin to New Mexico, Florida, Maryland, and Colorado, calling Colorado her home for the past forty years.
Bernie was married to George for 53 years and was preceded in death by both her husband and her son, Michael. She is survived by Jo and Bob Wessels (daughter and son-in-law), grandson Christopher Wessels, grandson Patrick Wessels and his wife Emily Wessels, granddaughter Bobbie Collins and her husband Christopher Collins, two great-granddaughters, Anna and Claire Collins, a great-grandson, Benjamin Collins, and a multitude of most-loved relatives in Baltimore, Maryland.
